Inlets

Dry risers inlets are normally located at ground floor level and are commonly referred to as Breeching Inlets. They are dry until the fire brigade charge the system with water in an emergency.
Breeching inlets can have 2 or 4 inlet connections and are fitted with non-return valves, drain valves, caps and chains.
Breeching inlets are noramlly housed in cabinets that are recessed into the wall of the building. Minimum aperture for dry riser cabinets are:
- Vertical cabinet - 595mm height x 395mm width x 295mm depth
- Horizontal cabinet - 395mm height x 595 width x 295 depth
All breeching inlets suppplied and installed by Triangle Fire Systems are to BS5041 Part 5.
Cabinets can be supplied in Red or Stainless Steel, satin polished.
